It is the first year at Waimea Canyon Middle School to introduce a new reward system called PBIS rewards. PBIS rewards help schools to improve culture and student behavior promoting a safe environment for learning. The school shows PBIS because it's a common framework used in a lot different schools to support student behavior, so as part of that system we have clear expectations for students clear rules to follow it to school and then we have difference of course including counselor mokihana and so forth another part that we felt that we weren't providing was acknowledging and rewarding positive student Behavior so sometimes we you giving consequences for students to misbehave or break rules that we also need to keep in mind that we need to commence put in sitting knowledge students to are making good choices and following the school rules here if I make any Middle School
